Welcome to the home of the Scallywags Flyball Team!
Flyball is a lightning-fast relay race where dogs fly over hurdles, retrieve a tennis ball and race back to the start to “tag” the next dog in the relay.
The Scallywags are a team in the North American Flyball Association’s Region 15. We’re associated with the Oriole Dog Training Club in Baltimore, MD.
Our overriding principle is “Every dog runs, every handler plays.”
Scallywags strives to include all persons and dogs who wish to be members. We promise that every dog that can safely complete the tasks required to play Flyball, shall be given ample opportunities to run in tournaments.

Flyball Training
Our winter instructional session is nearing its end. We are planning informal drop-in classes at Oriole most Friday nights for current competing dogs, and for those interested in introducing their dog to the sport with minimal commitment. See our Learning to Play page for details.
Spring flyball instruction begins April 3rd, 2023. The class catalog will be posted on 3/8 and registration opens the following week. Please check back here for details.

Latest Tournament News
Scallywags is hosting our annual Flyball Fix tournament the last weekend of February. Check our Tournaments page for more info.
We also sent teams to compete at Dog Gone Fast's Winter WufFest and Pawmetto Pack's Fast and the Furriest tournaments in Region 9. Congrats to Whitney Etchison and Sue Erickson for becoming our newest road team participants - both have started travelling with the team for competitions in the last couple of quarters.
